Captains Blog – September 2022
Well, the nights are drawing in and winter golf (pick & place) is with us on 1st October, doesn’t seem 5 minutes since September arrived following the dry months of July and August.
It’s been a traumatic month for this nation with the loss of our beloved Queen Elizebeth II,
our 10 days morning culminated in a funeral ceremony that only the United Kingdom excel in.
“GOD SAVE THE KING”
AGC golf course has benefited with the rain we are now getting and has turned from white to green in next to no time, I hope our new flag system is going down well.
Golf this month started with our annual Ladies v Gentlemen which was postponed from June, if I don’t announce the result my life will be forfeited LOL, Ladies 5 – 0 Gentlemen.
This was followed by a tribute to former member Kev Powell, another great day of golf and evening entertainment well organised by Martin McCracken and his team.
