Hi All

With the new season fast approaching its time to start thinking about your summer golf. I have the privilege of managing AGC Avon league. Basically it's 13 local golf clubs that play each other in a friendly but competitive league. It's mainly played on a Saturday at 10am with 6 pairs  playing fourball better ball (winter league format). We have a breakfast beforehand and a pint afterwards. Each match I will collect £10 subs from each player which pays for your breakfast then any money left over helps pay for team shirts. You must have a valid EGU handicap and ideally lower than 17 because 1 of the Avon league rules is a maximum playing handicap of 18.

It's a great way to meet new people within and outside our club plus you get to play some fantastic courses like The Coventry golf club (Finham), The Warwickshire, The Vale, Royal Atherstone to name but a few.

AGC have done brilliantly in the league in both winning it and making new friends which in my opinion is the most important. Remember it's Fourball better ball the odd bad hole doesn't matter your partner got you covered.
