A warm welcome to the Junior section of our website. Over the years the Junior section at Atherstone Golf Club has produced some amazing talent with Ryder Cup Players Paul Broadhurst, Bernard and Geoff Hunt and European Tour Star Steve Webster all learnt to play golf here at Atherstone. Also over 10 juniors have gone on to become PGA Professionals which i believe our excellent and varied course as enabled players to develop their game and go on to become great players. The Juniors are always made to feel part of the club by the Senior members and encouraged to participate in all the club's activities. All juniors who reach cat 1 handicap are allowed to play in any of the Men's club competitions and cat 2 and above there is a Junior comp that runs in conjunction with the Men's event. We have away days during the year and club matches which through the help of Junior organisers Bob Walsh & Gary King we have a really strong section. On a personal note i have been a member at the club for 9 years joining when i was 8 years old and have never looked back. It has enabled me to meet lots of new friends and compete and play at some of the Worlds finest courses. Golf is a great sport that teaches you to be sociable, respectful, play to the rules and most of all have fun. I would recommend anyone looking to learn or improve their game to come and join our club. The annual fee is only £60.00 and is great value for money.
